I am incredibly proud to have been selected as a Road Scholar from Illinois Humanities for the next two years to continue telling my mother’s story, Mollie’s War. This is the story of the women who served in the military during WWII. I have had the privilege and opportunity to travel across Illinois as part of Illinois Humanities over the last six years. If you are looking for an interesting story for your group, please contact me.
Mollie’s War is now on the 2021-2022 Road Scholars Speakers Bureau from Illinois Humanities

Looking for an in-person program for 2023. I like the sound of My Mother Wore Combat Boots or Mollie’s War.
Program length about 30-45 minutes
Mid day first Wednesday of the month
How much do you charge for speaking.
Must be approved by programming committee. This is just an inquiry.

Dear Marilyn, I would like to be considered for a program for your group in 2023. Where are you located and what is the name of your group? Thank you for your interest in my presentation. Cyndee
You can email me at cyndeeschaffer@gmail.com to discuss this further. The first Wednesday of the month works for me. It appears that St. John’s Lutheran Church is in Wheaton, not too far from where I am located in Northbrook. By the way, either title can work for my presentation!
